SEPTEMBER 19, 2017 STEWART DOUGLAS BOSTON accepted the command posted to heaven.

We will all miss him.

Stewart Douglas Boston, Topeka, KS, former Nuclear Machinist Mate 1st Class, Petty Officer for the Navy and Quality Control Chief for the building of the Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Facility, died in his sleep September 19, 2017 at the age of 68 years and 4 months.

As Nuclear Engine Room Supervisor on the USS California CGN-36, which with the USS Carolina, flanked the Nimitz as escort in “Task Group Bravo” in case of war with Russia, Stewart was in charge when Admiral Rickover, or the Grand Maestro of the Nuclear Navy according to Stewart, stood throttle watch with him for 4 hours in extreme heat which the nuclear-powered vessels all emitted. The Admiral congratulated him and crew for a job well done.
Stewart D. Boston also as QC, insured that Wolf Creek was a safe facility for his family less than 30 miles north of where it stands.
Stewart authored two books, A Sailor Come Ashore and The Salina, Kansas Bostons. Both are found on Amazon for those who haven’t copies.
Though Stewart suffered many years with illnesses, he was always there for family and friends and held the high morals our forefathers and foremothers instilled in us above all monetary wealth. Our Lord was Stewart’s beacon and the One he quoted when anyone needed guidance or assurance that we are protected in His beautiful world.
